The global refugee crisis was thrust into mainstream awareness when the devastating images of the three-year-old boy Alan Kurdi’s lifeless body face down on a Turkish beach went viral through global media in 2015.
Millions of people are forced to leave their home behind and face massive risk, adversity and uncertainty, with their lives not just on hold, but still very much as risk. There are also growing concerns that as we see the issue of climate change worsen, we’ll see more conflict and more draughts and hence more refugees.
We’re seeking to build our partnership network to help channel more resources where most needed. Current collaborations include the former child refugee Gulwali Passarlay, author of The Lightless Sky and global refugee advocate. Also including Jaz O’Hara, founder of The Worldwide Tribe.
